The nearest airport from Serpa is the Faro Airport. From Faro, you can catch a bus to to Beja, and then another to Serpa. BUS The best and cheaper way to travel within Portugal is the bus network Rede Expressos – Rede Nacional de Expressos, which covers the whole country. The line Lisboa-Serpa costs 15,5€ one way and 28€ return (3,5h). There is an ample choice of departure times. The line Faro-Serpa costs 17,80€ one way and 32€ return. ATTENTION: it is necessary to do a bus change in Beja! And this line has less time choices. If you come from the north of Portugal, you will have to do some bus changes. We recommended to buy your ticket in advance. Europe wise, you have the famous Eurolines. Or the lines between Spain and other European countries. TRAIN Alternatively you can check the website of the national train network: CP - Caminhos de Ferro Portugueses There are trains from Lisbon to Beja. And in Beja, you can take a bus to Serpa with Rede Expresso or with Rodalentejo. European wise, there is the Lusitânia train, linking Madrid-Lisbon.
